To better understand the difference between Skilled Nursing
(SNF) and Assisted Living Care Homes be sure to visit our
page on the Types of Care Homes.
As you are considering which type of facility is most appropriate
for your loved one you should know that certain conditions
and treatments are sometimes required to be handled in SNF's. This list
varies somewhat from state-to-state. But if your loved one
has any of the following issues you should contact us before
spending too much time pursuing a direction that may not be
possible, at least until the situation changes (some of these items may be temporary conditions).
Also, you
should be aware that some of these items can be handled at
the Assisted Level with special permission or special licensing
from the state. Again, we will need to work with you directly
on the specific details.
